I don't know you and you don't know me, but your mother/grandma must have been a wonderful woman. Thank you for letting me have a glimpse of a life well lived.

Just read today Grandma's account of her first teaching job, which included making lunch with whatever the students had brought in that day! I remember playing with the doll house on the front porch and also the wooden bucket filled with little toys. Grandma also liked her garden and flowers- this song is very beautiful and hopeful:

Thanksgiving was always at Grandma and Grandpa Curtis' farm so it is the right time of year to be remembering her. Good dishes and lots of food. She always had something for us kids to take home too. We will miss you, but hope to meet again soon....

I remember Grandma......First memories are jumping in bed with her in the mornings when everyone left for work or school. It was a nice warm snuggley place to be. Sometimes if I was very careful, she would let me have a tea party and use the special handpainted dishes her friend made for her. When she started...

Remembering Grandma and all of the memories she has left with me. Thank you for the canned raspberries, the long summer walks on the farm (making sure every one had on a straw hat), fiesta ware, fancy towels, pins, and the barn cats! You always had a gift to give; new or tucked away..and every now and again a good laugh. You will be missed by all....

Mom was a blessing to our family. She was so generous in many ways. Sue and I spent many wonderful holidays at the folks and enjoyed her great cooking. It was a pleasure to be able to spend her 100th birthday with her. We are so grateful for having that opportunity. She will be remembered in our hearts.
