Not sure what to say?

I am so saddened to hear of Ruth's passing. She and I taught together at Hewitt Elementary many years ago. She always had a smile on her face, and an encouraging word for me as a new teacher. Don, she asked me to sing at your wedding, and I couldn't make it. What a wonderful person she was, and I know she'll be missed, especially in the world of education!

I just heard of Ruth's passing today and am so sad I didn't get to be at her service. My prayers are with you Don, Helen and all of the extended family.
I was lucky to have had Ruth as a dear friend since our days as kids ourselves at Erwin Junior High and High School. So sorry for your loss,I wish Mrs,Ellis could have enjoyed her retirement that she worked so hard for.My daughter that's in 6th gr. was in her class.

Don, I am praying for you for the loss of your Wonderful wife Ruth. She was a blessing to you and to many many people. She touched so many lives and was such a sweet lady. I will always treasure her friedship and our time together over the years. I know she has graced God with her presence and is probably filling him in on the latest about Alabama football.

Many years later, when my youngest son was at Paine, I ran into Mrs. Ellis and she immediately recognized me, gave me a hug and asked all about Justin, who was by then in high school. Things like that mean a lot and are not forgotten. As a teacher, we could not have asked for better had we chosen her ourselves. As someone who made an impact on...
