Ruth Elizabeth Finch

FINCH, Ruth Elizabeth – formerly of Birch Run, age 80, died peacefully Friday, December 23, 2011 at American House in Flint. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 11 AM Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM. Ruth was born on March 23, 1931 to the late Elmer and Dorothy Tatrow. She was a resident of Birch Run since 1962. She married Doyle Finch on November 4, 1950. Ruth was an active member of the Birch Run Co op for many years. She loved to fish and "treasure hunt" throughout Michigan and with their travels. Ruth had a devout belief in God attending the Lutheran Church all her life. She worked out of her home as an upholsterer and later with the metal detector business. Surviving are: husband, Doyle; 4 children, Michael Finch of Birch Run, Vicki (George) Linkh of FL, John (Caron) Finch of Mason, Mary (Steve) Nelson of Grand Blanc; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Joanne Robin of OH, Carol Bobb of Genesee; many nieces and nephews.
