Her Journey's Just Begun

Don't think of her as gone away,
Her journey's just begun,
Life holds so many facets,
This earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting,
From the sorrows & the tears,
In a place of warmth and comfort,
Where there are no days and years.

Think of how she must be wishing,
That we could know today,
How nothing but our sadness,
Can really pass away.
And think of her as living,
In the hearts of those she touched…

While I've never had the pleasure of meeting Ruth in person, I did enjoy helping her with her genealogical line of the Flanigans when she contacted me in 2007. She yearned to learn more about her ancestral family just as she learned about the Lord. To quote what she wrote in an email to me " I came to know the LORD personally at age 35 and accepted HIS free gift of Salvation". May we all be comforted in the fact that she is now home with Our Heavenly Father as well as with her ancestral...

Offering my deepest sympathy to the family of Ruth A. Flanigan.

Clare, you and your family our in our thoughts during this sad time. We both are so sorry for your loss.

As I sit here looking at Ruth's picture, I am holding back the tears because I will miss her so much. She was a HUGE part of our lives....her faith was unequaled and she taught me step by step how to trust and lean on the Lord. When I think of Ruth, I also chuckle and giggle and even roar with laughter. She was so hilarious and was so comfortable laughing at herself. Her 'antics' were entertaining and she always loved to be a leprechaun and hide her brilliance when in different...

Dear Clare,
I have great memories of your dear sister as we were stationed together.
My heartfelt sympathy and prayers to you.

It was a pleasure knowing Ruth Flanigan. I (Antonio) met her in the late nineties when I employed her as an administrative assistant in an agency that provided services to people with brain injuries in rural locations. She was a retiree who wanted to continue working. It was a pleasure working with her. Her Christian values were demonstrated throughout her employment. Her kindness affected everyone in the office- whether you were a visitor or a co-worker.

Ruth and I were also members...

To the Flanigan Family: We extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers at this time of loss. We remember Ruth's dedication and love for her Savior as well as for her church family. We are confident that Ruth's great getting up morning in Glory was met with her praises as she finally met Him and heard the words, "well done". Reverends Clancy Morning Star MBC Albany NY.

Clara,
You and your family are in my prayers as you mourn the death of your sister, Ruth.
I recall so many happy times with her especially at Union and the summers we visited Glass Lake. We also had good times together on Winthrop Ave.
Lovingly,
Maureen Murphy,CSJ
