Ruth Adeline Garten

Garten, Ruth Adeline (Gamec) 89, went home to her Lord Sunday, October 20, 2013. She was born to John & Anna Gamec on January 26, 1924 on the Bohemian Flats in SE Minneapolis, MN. She was married to her Marshall High School sweetheart, Max Garten, for 64 years. Max and their son Mark preceded her in death. She was the last of her nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Steven (Emily); daughter, Merry (Tom) and daughter, Cheryl (Jeff), seven grandchildren whom she loved so much: Travis (Nicole), Bethany (Kurt), Rebecca, Ryan, Molly (Marcus), Chelsey (Ian) & Megan and five special great-grandkids, Lane, Arnina, Max, Nayeli and Zarae who lovingly called her "GG". Special "thanks" to her many friends and caregivers at Rosewood on Broadway, whom she loved, and where she resided the past four years of her life. Services will be held on Friday, November 1 at 11:30 am at Our Savior's Lutheran church, Pequot Lakes MN.
