My condolences to Ruth's family. She was a wonderful person and will be missed by all that knew her, but most of all by her family. My heart goes out to Dorcas, Ruth's sister, who was close to her for a lifetime of almost a century. May your good memories help ease the pain of your loss. My thoughts will be with you all.

Ruth was not only my dearly beloved sister, she was my very best friend and confidant. As an excellent Christian Science practitioner, Ito whom I turned in time of need, I was the recipient of her very effective prayerful work.

She was an inspiration in many ways. There were many challenges in her life - not only the loss of her wonderful husband but also her dear adult son. She met them all with strong faith in God and reliance upon Him. She was the greatly loved matriarch in...

Ruth was not only my precious sister, she was my dearest and best friend. I feel it was a great privilege and blessing to have had her as my sister. It was a wonderful additional blessing that for the last several years we lived in the same apartment building where we naturally saw a great deal of each other.

We had so many common interests and shared the same ideals. Christian Science being the primary one. She was an exemplary one and lived to bless others through its teachings...

What I will miss most about my dearly beloved sister is her beautiful character, her great spirituality and the precious companionship we shared over the many years she was with us.

"When the light of one friendship passes from earth to heaven, we kindle in place thereof the glow of some deathless reality" (Pul 5: 6-8). These words of Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer of Christian Science apply to Ruth. The glow of her individuality and the life she lived among us will never grow dim...
