RUTH HENDLIN

Mrs. Hendlin (as I will always refer to her) was my Kindergarten teacher at Sandmeier School, as well as my mentor when I was in college. I loved her as my teacher, and I admired and respected her as my mentor. I can still see her in my kindergarten classroom sitting at the piano and singing to us each morning; she was so warm and nurturing. She was one of the main people who influenced me to become a teacher.
