A gracious woman of many talents and rich experience, Ruth was a neighbor on Oswego St. and on Berkshire Road in Ann Arbor. Following the death of her husband, the distinguished astronomer Albert Hiltner, she worked at the University of Michigan's Art Museum on an extensive study of weavings, and one hopes that this study survives now that digital archiving of color images is easy to do.
