My mother, Dot Towne McNamara, often spoke of Ruth as being a delightful person to know. I have a picture somewhere of her holding me as a baby, so about 1943. We had a nice chat at my mother's funeral in 2001. The world has lost a special person, but heaven has her now and she is with Billy.

Ruth was a lovely person. We lived next door to the family for thirty years and I have fond memories of going over to the house as a little girl, through school and college. We have exchanged Christmas cards until just recently and it was always good to hear from her. I'm sure she will be missed by all her family and friends. I was privileged to have her in my life.
