Dear Mary and Judy,
Your mother was one of my favorite teachers at H.B.
I was in "A" French for four years,at the bottom of the class, except for the year I had your mom- I loved French poetry, and French history and did quite well-- then it was back to Miss Thompson who made it a point to use me to showcase poor pronunciation, mixng up idioms etc. For some reason I thrived with Miss Bruce, but was intimidated by Miss Thompson!
Many years later she became my mother's...

I was so saddened to hear about Ruth. She was such an integral part of our Cercle Francais--always cheerful, Ruth was an amazing fountain of information. Her devotion to our group will be remembered for a very long time. My sympathy to her family and friends. Gail Rosewater

Dear Judy and Mary,
It was a privilege as well as a delight to know your mother in her later years. I remember her still, at my first Cercle meeting, trying to persuade one of those present to attend the Philadelphia flower show with her and, failing that, going alone. Then there were the pictures of Villandry that she'd brought back with her, her co-presidency with Marjorie Zeyen, her 100 year-old Christmas cactus and the drive by her home in Cleveland Heights. Happy memories all.

My most heartfelt sympathy to Mrs. Hudson's family. It was an honor to know her when she lived at Bratenahl Place. Mrs. Hudson was a delightful neighbor & a wonderful friend. A cherished memory of her was at her 85th birthday party. A truly great lady! You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
