I learned so much tonight reflecting on the Edmund Fitzgerald. My dad worked for Republic Steel and would see EF come and go when I was a young child out of Cleveland. I had the privilege of being a neighbor to this lovely lady for many years. We stood at the fence and talked for hours on many occasions. I thought of her often since she moved away. She will be missed.

I too ,met Ruth when working in the antiques business many years ago. She was so sweet & always had a kind word & truly cared about others. She adored her son & while sad talking about him,she beamed with pride as well. GOD BLESS her & may she find her joy in Heaven with her beloved family. Fondly, Carol Osborne

I find it ironic that she passed away 1 day shy of the 40th anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald and the loss of her beloved son Bruce. It's comforting...
