Ruth Starratt Innes

It has been an honor and pleasure to have known Ruth through music and in general. We found her to be accomplished in so many areas and yet humble in all. We feel fortunate to have known her as a good friend; our world will be less bright without her cheerful smile.

Oh my Ruthie! We will miss you so much playing music together at ceilidh and so many adventures. You brought joy to all of us outdoors and in. Your playful nature and keen interest on others was such a sweet addition to every venue and activity. Your treks above the mountain tops will be in our thoughts of you. Sweet hikes to the beyond, dear friend.

Just heard of the passing of Ruth. She was such a wonderful person and a talented band mate in our Celtic music ensemble, Islay Mist Ceilidh. I loved playing violin with her and she added so much to our events. We all looked forward to hearing her latest exploits brought back from the mountaintops of her beloved White Mountains to the many ports of call around the globe where she trekked frequently. We had the joy of traveling through Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia, and Serbia with Ruth in 2019. She was a hoot! Lots of fun and humor. We will miss her and the opportunity to travel with her again. -- Jay and Catherine Norvell, Davis, California

I am saddened to hear of her passing. We shared many adventures together and I have many happy memories.

For those of us who knew her from Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health I'm sure you were struck by her exuberant kindness and presence. She had an ageless energy that always amazed me and touched my heart.

She loved traveling and hiking the highest mountains in NH with kids that could barely keep up with her vivacity! She was a devoted Kripalu Yogi and often supported woman her age to move with a little more ease inspiring everyone she met with her lithe sprite body!
