I first met my Aunt Ruth when I was a few months old and she was 15 - she was my first baby sitter. We've enjoyed a warm and wonderful, although long-distance, relationship for the last 88 years. RIP my dear.

Ruth was such a dear family friend of my family. She always greeted us with such a warm hug and sweet smile whenever we would go to her house on the big blueTorch Lake. Her family is so dear and I cherish them deeply! Many big hugs to Aunt Sue, Cinda, Beth, Jeff, and their families!! Betsy...my dearest Grandmother I am sure welcomed Ruth up in heaven with open arms and a big smile. Betsy and my Aunt Sue were the dearest of friends and their daughters have been besties since they were babies....

Pete and Jan remember
I first met Ruth when I was 9 years old. Her daughter , Sue and I became friends in the 5th grade. I remember many times at her home making cookies, staying overnight and going up to Torch Lake. At Torch we always played cards to see who was to do dishes. Ruth and I played in the Jackson Symphony together for many years. I will never forget her kindness and cheerful laugh. Thanks for the memories Ruth.

Worked with Ruth for two years at Tomlinson Elementary. She was a wonderful lady and enormously fun to work with. My best to her family.

So sorry to hear about Ruth's passing. I have thought about her several times since I retired. I always enjoyed taking care of her and seeing that beautiful smile as well as the twinkle in her eye when she would see me. She was a very special friend. I will be praying for you and your family during this time of loss and adjustment.

I remember as a young child at Calvary Methodist Church being in awe of Mrs. Jeffery with her cello. Reading this tribute to her at the end of her long life I can see that admiration was not misplaced. Sincere condolences to family and friends.

I had Mrs. Jeffrey as a teacher many years ago and remember her as a caring and dedicated teacher.
