What a beautiful love story spanning seventy years! I send my condolences for your loss, but I know you take comfort in knowing they are together still! I loved growing up in our neighborhood, and spending Friday nights at your house, Sue, was a blast. Schuler's donuts on Saturday, playing with our Barbie dolls in your sun room, and riding bikes until dark. Your parents were so cool. You were lucky to have them as long as you did. Great memories last forever.

Dear Johnson family I send you my condolences I was so heartbroken after finding out about your parents. I have so many great memories of your family. I enjoyed playing basketball and street football with your dad. I remember when I was about 6 or 7 years old my mom had a nervous breakdown and the squad came and your mom came to our house to watch me until my sisters came They were the best. Brett Lear

I read the obituary and I now know who Ruth And Gene Johnson are. What a wonderful story of a young couple that loved, married, had careers, raised a family and stayed together until death. This changed my morning, my day. My deepest, sincere condolences go to the families of these two. I am a complete stranger that their story appeared on...
