Not sure what to say?

My heart is still hurting. My memories will never go away. Mrs Jones was my first grade teacher at Whitley Elementary school in 1957-1957. She was always there to comfort you and make you smile. I kept in touch with her over the years. I hope some child will have a Mrs Jones in their life. May the love of God comfort the family!

Re. Jones was a dear friend of my parents
My primary Sunday school teacher and will be dearly missed by the Lily Baptist family. Rest on thy good and faithful servant.

Mrs. Jones was my 1st grade teacher at Whitley Elementary in Plateau, 1960-61. Although I was young, I remember her as being a wonderful teacher. I remember one of the upper class girls who was especially close to Mrs. Jones but I won’t name her, she might not remember. I remember Mrs. Jones and my Aunt, also named Ruth, had a personal relationship because of Church: Mrs. Jones was a member of Lily Baptist and my Aunt was a member of Union Baptist. So many memories come back when you sit down...

She was my first grade teacher at Whitley Elementary School in Plateau ,Al. It's amazing how special she was to all the children. She had a calmness and gentle spirit that helped a frighten first grader feel at home away from home.

I hope she knew how much she did to make my life special and so many other young people.

Anderson Flen, first grade 1956-1957.

Blessings and condolences to Mrs Jones’ family and friends. She was my first grade and favorite teacher at Whitley Elementary.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
