Ruth E. Jones

I will miss Ruth. Ruth was one of the members of the Mariners Harbor Church that welcomed me and my children Michael &Tracey when we relocated to Staten Island and began searching for a church family to join. She made the best banana bread. I always had trouble keeping up with her energy. My last fond memory was watching her holding my grandsons hand and walking the hall at VBS when he needed comforting. I was a member of the Mariners Harbor Baptist Church as a young girl. Mrs. Jones was one of my Sunday School teachers. and I knew Ruth and her Dad &brothers . Ruth was a very caring person. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Ruth was a wonderful Christian woman who lived her faith. I can still hear her "giggles" .... Always was so pleasant... and so capable. She made short work of anything that had to be done whether it be food, cleanup, gardening or anything that needed doing! I haven't seen Ruth for many years but have many memories of working beside her at church. My parents, John and Thelma Thompson, were married by her Dad, George Jones and Jennie Jones was my Sunday School teacher. A wonderful...
