Campbellsport, Wisconsin
Ruth Patricia Kissinger (nee Schlueter) passed away peacefully on Jan 31, 2015 at Samaritan Health Center with her family by her side.
She was born in Campbellsport on March 21, 1929 to Ida and August Schlueter. Ruth was known for her love of cooking and baking. Her favorite meal was liver & onions (much to her children?s groans) and her favorite dessert was Red Velvet cake (much to her children?s delight). She enjoyed dancing, reading, watching gameshows, collecting antiques and loved watching Shirley Temple movies. She worked at West Bend Company and Enger Kress. She was not only proud of the work she did but was also proud of the many lifelong friendships she had made. She was a spunky lady with a great sense of humor. But most of all she loved and was proud of her family.
She is survived by 9 children, sons: Daniel (Mary) Deering and Frederick Kissinger Jr, daughters: Diane(Ronald) Kircher, Debra(Robert) Zettler, Darla Fischer, Dori (Donald) Schomisch, MaryBeth (Daryl Holz) Kissinger, Nancy (Michael) Klessig, and Tammy (Mark) Larson, 20 grandchildren: DeAnna, Jennifer, Karla, Karmen, Jamie, April, Rachel, Elizabeth, Jake, Rhonda, Kimberly, Nicholas, Jacob, Jesse, Tracy, Trisha, Hunter, Kyle, Miranda and Dalton. 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great- grandchildren and many cousins in the Campbellsport area.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Darwin Deering and Frederick Kissinger, Sister Esther Kahut, grandchildren Richard Kircher and Adam Bigelow and great-grandchild Steven Salyers and her cousin Olly Moliter.
She also had a very special place in her heart for her nieces, Susan Karoses, Robin Ewing and Sandy Nichols, her close friends Aunty Dale, Marge Julson and Mary Steiner.
The family is thankful for all the wonderful support and care she received at Samaritan Health Center and also from Gentiva Hospice. Ruth & family would sincerely and affectionately like to thank Dr. Renee Jahnke at the Aurora Healthcare Center for her many, many years of comfort and caring for her. Ruth always loved seeing her and her smiling face.
Services for Ruth will be at the Twohig Funeral Home on Saturday Feb. 7th. Visitation will be from 1-3pm with a service to follow. Please join us in celebrating her life by sharing with us your favorite memory of her. Online guestbook and condolences are at www.twohigfunerals.com

Grandma, I'll always love and appreciate you for all the memories you gave me. I'll never forget the times that Tracy and I stayed with you and how you always made it fun. I'll always remember your sense of humor, your smile, and your adorable laugh. I'll never eat a tort or Cinamon Toast Crunch (still my favorite) without thinking of you. I wish my girls could have gotten to know you better, but you will always be their one and only "Gramma Great." We love you and may you rest in peace.

Dear Grandma~ I am grateful for the times we got to spend together. I am grateful for having you as a grandmother. Even tho you had several of your own children, you always took time out for all your grandchild. You loved us all different, but in the same caring loving way. Never treating us differently and for some us that meant a lot! I hope know you can go rest in peace. I love you dearly grandma....Love DeAnna

Grandma - I have way too many memories to list them all. You were always there with a kind smile and a hug when I needed someone. I will always remember our trip to Tennessee...800 miles of You and baby Jayson echoing uh oh to one another. You will be terribly missed but the our love for you will never fade.

Grandma- Although I haven't been able to see you often while living in Tn, you have been in my thoughts daily. I have reminders of you and your love throughout my home and even without those things you are forever in my heart. I love you and will miss you!
