Rochester...Ruth Edmunds (Stearns) Ledbury, 88, died Friday, October 5, 2007, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
Born June 20, l9l9, in Northwood, NH, she was the daughter of the late Waldo and Lula (Edmunds) Stearns.
She graduated from Spaulding High School and Plymouth Teachers College where she received a Bachelor of Education Degree. She taught school in Rochester and North Woodstock, NH. For many years she and her husband owned and operated the Drapery Manufacturing Company in Massachusetts.
She liked traveling, reading, playing and watching golf. In her later years she enjoyed playing bingo and socializing with her friends at the Roland Roberge Manor.
Members of her family include two grandchildren; Nicole Robin Ledbury of Great Neck, NY, and Richard Mark Ledbury of Mahwah, NJ; several cousins and special friends Allen and Nancy Cunningham of Barrington, NH.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harry J. Ledbury Jr., and her son, Harry J. Ledbury III.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at 5pm at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main Street, Rochester, NH.
