Not sure what to say?

What a wonderful woman! When I moved to Portland 30 years ago and hasrdly knew a soul there, Ruthie honored me with the privilege of letting me call her my Portland "Mom." She was a great friend and a beautiful lady. Love to you, Ruthie!

For Ruthie's Family...

I was so lucky to have shared a wonderful lunch with Ruthie, Shirley and Leah just a few weeks ago. All dear friends from the Rodda Paint days. As always, Ruthie was never changing...a warm smile, gentle hug, a little twinkle in her eyes and the fragrance of Shalimar about her.

Ruthie was such a wonderful person. I will always remember my days at Rodda Paint and the lessons learned and friendship from Ruthie. Also, she did love a good martini and I remember when I turned 21, she took me out for my first martini. She told me to watch those olives because they were trouble. :) To the family, fond memories of our younger years and Ruthie touched so many lives.
My sympathies and prayers for you all.

Beryl (Brucker) Fletcher

I'm certain Aunt Ruthie threw her arms around not only Uncle Per, but her sister Aunt Helen (my Godmother), her brother Frankie (my dad), Gramie, Grandpa and those others who went home before her, but mostly the Lord I knew she loved.
She touched us all in so many ways and will never be forgotten. I love her dearly and miss her just knowing she is gone.
It's weird to now be the "Matriarch" of this family being the oldest female in the Jancan line, and could only hope to come close...

I am sorry to hear of your mother passing. I know how hard it is to loose a parent, I have lost both mine. Your mother was always very nice to me and I really appreciated knowing her in my younger days. I will be thinking about the family during the service. I am unable to attend.

Dear "family"
Wishing you all peace and great memories in the days ahead. Mom always had a smile and lots of laughter to share and that's what she would want for you now.

The bad news is that we have lost our dear one...the good news is that she is with Uncle Per, Grandma, Aunt Hal, mom, Sonia and the rest of the gang. I truly believe that we are reunited with our loved ones, so it is, with a selfishness that I say how much I will miss you and wish I could have said I love you just one more time. To my dear cousins, Jeff, Brett and Dan, I love you guys and am praying for us all. Aunt Ruthie was a person we should all strive to be, good, honorable, accepting...

Brett/Dorene:

Sorry to see of your Mom's passing. I too enjoy Michael Buble and as you know, all to well, a cocktail every now and then myself.

Remember well your reception at your Mother's house and what a special lady she was. We are sure she is enjoying her reunion with your Dad.

Love you guys!
