Not sure what to say?

I am thankful for Ruth's support of Yale's Albert J. Solnit Integrated Adult and Child Psychiatry Program. It is an honor to be a part of the program and Ruth's legacy. Ruth embodied the mission of our training program - "making the world a better place for children and their families." She will be missed dearly.

Ruth Lord will be sorely missed in New Haven. I knew of her as a staunch supporter of the Yale Child Study Center. My father, Al Solnit, held her in the highest esteem.

As a fourth year trainee in the Albert J. Solnit Adult and Child Psychiatry and Research Program, I am grateful for Ruth's enthusiastic support of my training. Ruth's vision, kindness, and generosity were vital in developing the program. She has left an indelible mark on my education, and she will be missed greatly.

Ruth Lord with the Solnit Program trainees

As one of the trainees at the Yale Child Study Center Solnit Program, I am so thankful for Ruth's generous support for our program. I feel fortunate to have met her and to benefit from her generosity. She will be missed. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

I am a trainee in the Albert J. Solnit Program at the Yale Child Study Center, a program Ruth generously supported from its inception. I was not fortunate enough to meet her, but I know that my colleagues and I are indebted to and incredibly grateful for all of her support. She was by all accounts an amazing woman who understood the importance of education and training in her mission to improve the lives of children. She served as a great role model, and I am sorry I never had the opportunity...

On behalf of the Solnit Training Program at Yale, I want to say what an amazing and dynamic person Ruth was. We have been extremely fortunate to have her support of our program. She was such a bright, thoughtful and witty woman. Knowing such a person was behind us was and still is such a vote of confidence. Her death is a significant loss for so many who she supported. I, personally, admired her individuality and poise.

My dear mother in law was such a kind person for all the years I've known her.. She has been a blessing in my life and in my daughter's, her granddaughter's life. We are so grateful to have seen her just 3 weeks before her passing. The lessons she has taught me will be lifelong memories that I will always cherish. God bless her soul.

I knew Ms Lord from working at The Dorchester at E 57 St. between 1977 and 2004. She was to me a wonderful women who was kind, generous, with a great wit and sense of humor. She will be missed. RIP Ms. Lord.
