Not sure what to say?

Like my sister Ginger, I felt close to Aunt Ruth when I was a kid. Part of it was that she lived right around the corner. She always played into my childhood fantasy games. If I was a secret agent, I would inquire if she had any secret information which was our code term for cookies. She always gave up the information.

My Aunt Ruth, Uncle Bill, and cousin Barbara lived a street away, while I was growing up. My Mother, Ruth's younger sister, and my Aunt spoke often. We even lived in Texas for awhile, at the same time. Out of all my aunts and uncles, I was always closest to Ruth. She was always interested in what you had to say and truly was a giving person. I'm alittle envious that she now gets to spend time with my Mother; but I know they are talking over old times and enjoying the peace and quiet from...

God blessed me with the best Mom in the world. I have never known anyone like her. She was the most selfless, giving, kind, thoughtful person and I owe everything I am today to her. She was my best friend and my heart aches without her. It is comforting to know she is with the Lord and left to be with him on his birthday. Mom spoke fondly of her church family and I know most of you and some I don't. If you wish to stay in touch, my email is

Ruth was a very sweet and giving lady. She was my Sunday School teacher when I was a child who invested her time into teaching us from God's Word. I remember her fondly and is comforting to know that she is now with the Lord.

Sister Ruth was a special lady and very dear to your heart. She will be greatly missed by us all. We are praying that God will surround you with his love and grant you peace and comfort in the days ahead. Brother and Sister Smith
