Not sure what to say?

Ruth forever lives on in my heart. She taught me not only how to do research, but also how to live with kindness and integrity. I will always be grateful to her for everything!!!

Ruth continues to live on in my heart, mind, and dreams. She has come to visit in my dreams-always wise and wonderful, ready to help me come to a resolution. I´m constantly translating a question I have about patient care into a research question. At work, Ruth taught me how to use data to improve patient´s quality of life. I am so grateful!

Too many memories especially in first days of Transition Services in the Pacific NW...You were supposed to live forever Ruth. jules

Hi. This is Jackie. I did Ruth's hair. I would have loved to be at the service for Ruth, but I was out of town. She is one of my favorite people. I just love her. Thinking of you all.

May her Memory be Eternal! She inspired many to be the best nurses and her work will last for the ages. A gifted life we have lost here. Thanks for all your additions to the profession and to oncology. - Dr. Cynthia Chernecky.

Ruth was a wonderful clinician, scholar, professional mentor, and patients' advocate. I got to know her while I was Associate Dean at Yale Law School and was a frequent visitor and lecturer in Health Law & Policy at the Nursing School. She will be missed, but surely not forgotten. Blessings to her family, friends and colleagues, Barbara Safriet

Ruth was an amazing mentor during my doctoral education. She was a generous and dedicated to her student. I was so lucky to have her in my life. You've given so much and you will missed.

Ruth inspired me as an undergraduate, mentored me as a new grad and taught me so much as a graduate student. Ruth had a profound influence on my entire nursing career. I am truly grateful for the wisdom and caring gifts Ruth shared with me and so many other nurses. May peace and light surround her family.

Ruth was my dissertation chair and my lifelong mentor. She has a really good heart and always tries to help people around her. I am truly grateful to have Ruth in my life. Thank you very much, Ruth! I will always remember you...
