Chambers Funeral Homes - North Olmsted Obituary

RUTH ANN MICHALSON, age 88, beloved wife of 67 years to George; loving mother of Pam Vonder Reith (Curt), Rick Michalson (Cathy) and the late Sandy Agee (Hershall); proud grandmother of Greg Vonder Reith (Rachel), Eric Vonder Reith, Kara Truschel (Eric), Mandi Michalson, Kimberly Percival (Dan) and Angela Council (Nick); loving great-grandmother of 13.

Ann was born in Tormey, CA in the San Francisco Bay area. She graduated from Antioch High School and attended Denver Women's College.  Ann had a wonderful life full of mischief, laughter and abundant experiences.

Ann and George were married September 18, 1954 after George finished his tour in the Navy.  They met at a dance in the San Francisco area where George was stationed at Moffett Field.  Ann worked several jobs including switchboard operator, school picture photographer and also worked a security job at NASA Lewis Research Center.  After six months of working the security job, she became project manager over several contracts at NASA.

Ann and George had a trailer at Claremar Twin Lakes in Ohio.  Ann spent many summers at the trailer.  She had endless energy spending wonderful times with her grandchildren. A Florida condo at Cocoa Beach was Ann and George's favorite winter retreat.  Ann's grandchildren remember being spoiled by her with milkshakes and popcorn for dinner while there.  Her laugh was contagious.  She would make tears come down yours eyes from laughter.  Her hobbies and interests were many, but golf, tole painting, bridge, puzzles and reading were at the top of her list.

Thank you for all of the memories.  We will truly miss you.

The family is planning a Celebration of Ann's Life in the spring/summer of 2022.  Details will be announced.
