Dr. Ruth R. Middleman

I am so sad at Ruth's passing. I understand that her last few years were full of suffering and in my head I hear Joan Baez singing Bob Dylan's "I shall be released". But in my heart there are tears and sorrow for the passing of a dear friend and a giant in our profession. She was a one-of-a-kind, so special person who was years ahead of her time. Although I can't unfortunately be there , I am with all in spirt. Mother's passing is a great loss for us but also a release from her suffering. I thank all friends and family who have taken a moment to pay their respects. Her warmth, generosity and magnanimous spirt lives on in all that knew her.
