Ruth was my teacher from age 11 until I graduated college. She taught me so much, and to this day my teaching style is so reflective of her. She really cared about her students, not just as harpists, but as people, too. I'll never forget the first time I went to Lyon and Healy with her and we picked out my harp. I will definitely miss her. I am so grateful for all that she taught me at the harp.

I´m so sorry to hear this news. My daughter was one of her many students. From 6th grade through collage. I spent many many hours sitting in my car reading while Taylor was inside practicing. Thanks to Ruth we still have a harp in the house. She will be missed

Ruth Anne was such a talented musician. I contracted with her on many occasions for special music for various churches, weddings and events. I am sorry for you loss. Ron Miller formerly of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti.

Thank you for being willing to take on a student such as myself. I still hear your comments when I practice, and will forever be in debt to you for helping me to improve my technique. You will be missed!

My fond first memory of Ruth from Camden harp colony. I had only been playing two months and had not mastered tuning as I was a keyboard player learning on an instrument tuned to 415. Ruth could no longer stand hearing my instrument descend in pitch. Double reed player that she was, she came, muttering "how can you stand this being so out of tune?" and thoroughly tuned my harp to 440. Thereafter I used my tuning fork! I remain in awe of Ruth.

Ruth was a friend and music colleague for many years. I admired her warmth, strong intellect, dry humor and excellent musicianship. The world has lost a great woman! She will never be forgotten.

In loving memory of a beautiful soul. Ruth, I will miss you dearly as you were an integral part of my development as a harpist and music educator. You accepted me as part of the family. I send the Love of God and His peace that passes all understanding to you Carter, and the family. I am always here for you.
