Not sure what to say?

We remember GR so vividly, you never knew what she was going to say next! Yes Jena, I remember her using the word "fancy" too! Ruth was so blessed to have such a wonderful family in her life. Our deepest sympathy to you all.

I miss you, Grandma Ruth! I loved staying overnight at your condo, all the shopping and movies and eating out we did. You always made the BEST chocolate/banana malts. Every time I hear or say the word "fancy" I think of you. You were the epitome of fancy, Grandma. I will forever cherish my memories growing up with you in my life, and all of your words of wisdom. Love you with all my heart.

Memories of my Aunt Ruth start in the early 1940's with a visit to her and Uncle Elmer's cute little "dollhouse" (my mom, Frances' words) in Stewartville. Another memory is of receiving on two Christmases, beautiful plaid taffeta dresses from my Grandpa Walt, and finding out years later that my Aunt Ruth had picked them out, Grandpa having given her "just so much money" to do his Christmas shopping. Aunt Ruth with her great-grand niece Grace Delano

Our condolences to Joy and family. Aunt Ruth was very good to me and I really appreciated her letters and stories of her life on the farm. Linda and family

We remember Ruth so fondly from her stay with us at The Colony. When we see the nieces' description of their Aunt as a "Firecracker", there is no doubt we knew the same person. Ruth was dynamic! Our condolences to the family for your loss.

Aunt Ruth said she would live to be 92, which was the same age as her sisters (Frances and Elizabeth)when they passed away. I am sure the three of them are looking down on us and saying "we did it!"
I will always have fond memories of Aunt Ruth and the times my mother, Frances, and I use to visit with her.
Our deepest sympathy to Joy and her family during what I know is a difficult time. Our thoughts are with you.

Bloomington Eastern Star sends its condolences to all Ruth's family.

Even though I didn't see her much, I'm still going to miss my Aunt Ruthie. In my "growing up" years, she was the Aunt in the stiletto heels from MINNEAPOLIS and always showed up in the latest fashions! She wore tiny, little, "salesman's sample" size high heels, and always powder and lipstick. We girls were in awe of her. She was a little 'firecracker' and a force to be reckoned with sometimes.....but every time she said, "Maryjean, you always look so cute" ...
(I was 50 at the...
