Every time I saw Ruth I got a big hug and a sweet smile. I feel quite honored to have met and shared the same birthday.(except age.) with Ruth. She was a bright star to every one she meant.

There are so many wonderful memories I have with Mrs. Nicolay. She was in a research study at my old place of work. I was always so excited when her appointments would come up. She was there to talk about my wedding planning and even gave me a handkerchief she had made while in elementary school as a wedding gift. She was such a kind soul and such a joy to be around. I am so sad to hear of her passing, but I know that she made an impact in so many people's lives... including mine.

What a wonderful lady who was all of her children´s friends bonus mom. She once shared a cutting of a plant with my mom over 40 years ago which I still have growing and have shared with many of my friends. I always thought of her over the years when giving pieces of her original clipping. She will forever be in our hearts
