RUTH BERTOLET OEHRLE

Mrs. Oehrle was my seventh grade math and science teacher.
Learning of her passing, and hearing the recollections of my classmates, has been very moving for me. I wish I had had the opportunity to reminisce with her as an adult. Revisiting my memories of that time has been enlightening to me and I wish her "Godspeed." My best wishes to her family, Martha McIlvain Edwards

Mrs. Oehrle was one of my most favorite teachers at Agnes Irwin. She was so kind and understanding and even tempered. We all loved her. She will be sorely missed by not only her family but the whole community. She touched so many lives in such a positive way. Later on I came to know Albert, John and Mary - all wonderful people My hearts and prayers go out the all of you.,

Mrs Oehrle was our science teacher in 7th and 8th grade at AIS, and she was the most wonderful teacher and person. I loved her and respected her. She had us follow a horse's tooth disappear in a bottle of coca cola in as little as a few weeks. I remember clearly the shock at her son's experiment going badly wrong, and that she missed some classes on that account. Mrs.Oehrle was my science teacher in 7th and 8th grade at AIS in the early 60's. She inspired and encouraged my wonderings about life and science. I think of her often. Karla Schuette Read
