Ruth Overmyer

Dear Overmyer family, I just learned of the passing of your dear mom. Her husband Lloyd was a friend of my dad's during WW2. My dad had a photo of Lloyd and himself next that I sent to Ruth a few years ago. Lloyd and my dad served in the same 617th Army medical unit during WW2. They both married their sweethearts. You were blessed to have Ruth for 98 years. I am Catholic and I will pray for all of their dear souls. Blessings to you and your family!

Dennis and Nancy I was sorry to see that you lost your mom. I remember seeing you with her in Mattoon, and it was obvious that she was much loved and looked after by you both. What a lovely, long life she had. I hope the memories that you have and the knowledge that your care of her enriched her life will give you peace in your loss. You both are the best. Andrea McGarvey
