Special people in our lives leave footprints on our heart. Your mother as well as your father fit that category. Such treasured memories--your mother's warm smile and I can still hear her laugh. I remember the beautiful cakes she baked and decorated and the slight bit of trouble we were in when we accidentally smashed one of those beauties arm westling just hours before she needed to take it to class. I just knew I should have sat on the other side of the table...

Karen and Loren, Your mother was a very special person. It was a privilege to know her. I always appreciated the hospitality found in her home. Even though many decades have passed since I knew her, I have always kept her and her family in my heart.
