RUTH A. PETRIE (nee Poremba), age 84, beloved wife of 63 years to Robert J.; loving mother of Philip (Sandra); daughter of the late Anna (nee Kosar) and John Poremba; sister of the late Edward Poremba, Eleanor Nemeth and James, Robert and Jack Poremba; aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend of many. Ruth was an auxiliary member of American Legion Post 91, Berea. Passed away May 1, 2022. Funeral Service Saturday, May 7, at 1 P.M. in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of BEREA, 86 ADALBERT ST. OFF FRONT ST. (LOCATED IN THE POLISH VILLAGE HISTORIC DISTRICT) where friends may call SATURDAY 11 A.M. UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 23215 Commerce Park, Suite 300, Beachwood, OH 44122.

So sorry for your loss! I will miss "Mrs. P." as the children on the street would call her. I will miss her stories and walks. She certainly was the icon of the neighborhood!
