Not sure what to say?

Hello,
My name is Linda Dotson Seidman. I went to college with Ruth. We were in the same art classes and lived in the same dorm for 2yrs. Although I have not seen Ruth since our college days, I found her on FB this yr. Imagine, my shock when I got my Miamian Alumni Mag. and saw her obit. My deepest sympathy to her family. Ruthie(as we called her)..was a beautiful person. After reading all the guestbook comments, I see that she was loved by many. RIP Ruthie!! Linda Dotson Seidman,...

Dear Purdy-Leslie family,
I was so distraut when i heard the news of Mrs. Purdy-Leslies passing. I was her student only 4 years ago and was really looking forward to helping out with her class at Bayarts last summer. I still remember how she helped inspire those beautiful sculptures that are now in the middle school. I loved working on the library one with her and my friends. She was a wonderful teacher and person just in general. She'll be greatly missed.

Purdy's-Kristin, I am sorry to hear about your loss. I was more than a handful of a student, and had many academic struggles in which she was very patient. Not only did I have the honor of being a student, but the honor of growing up with Kristin. I Loved to see her smiling face in art class, or at the many hot dog days at Westerly. My thoughts and Prayers are with you Purdy's.

Ruth was a great friend and colleague from Normandy......always a beautiful smile.

Mrs. Purdy was my art teacher in seventh grade, eleven years ago now, and her art class is still a very fond memory. I wasn't one of her most talented students, but she always pushed me to do my best and made me feel as though I was contributing to the class. She was one of the most inspiring and caring teachers I ever had and she will be missed dearly.

Sincere Condolences

I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Purdy's class was the highlight of my week at Normandy Elementary School. I went on to study art partly due to the joy I found there. An ink drawing she did of my childhood home (when I was just a baby) is still one of my favorite possessions.

Dear Purdy and Leslie families,
Mrs. Purdy was my elementary school art teacher about twenty-five years ago. I still vividly remember her class. She was a wonderful teacher and really touched and inspired a lot of children.

I am truly sorry to hear about your mom. In the "olden days" we were often mistaken for each other by the children! I am so thankful that I have one ofher drawings of the old BMS. At our BTA retirement party, she confided in me that her thought had been, " If Sue Andregg can retire, so can I". I took this as an extreme compliment. I held her in high esteem and as a longtime friend. God Bless you all, Sincerely, Sue A.

Dear Purdy Family,
Please accept our sympathy at the loss of your wife/mom/grandma. Such a dear neighbor for so many years, I am so sorry. Jeanne Vaughan, Rob and Michael
