Not sure what to say?

Our lives have been enriched though our friendship with Ruth and Woodrow Ratner. We were saddened to hear of her passing. Her memory and friendship are cherished in our hearts. Our memories are filled with vacations and weekends with Ruth and Woodrow in Los Angeles, Mexico, and San Diego. Ruth’s service with the American Field Service brought love and hope to many students coming from around the world. She was a monumental force in bringing peoples of the world together with Americans and we...

I remember Mrs. Ratner as a loving and caring mother, not just to her own children, but to the foreign exchange students, and neighborhood kids as well. One constant memory I have is that she always made me tie my shoelaces before I would cross the street to go home. It must have stuck because now I double-tie my granddaughter's shoelaces! Thank you, Mrs. Ratner.

There was never a dearer friend than Ruth. Through our years together working to promote the AFS program in the Grossmont Dist. I became amazed at her organizational abilities. The children that she helped to educate by enriching their lives by living abroad was unbelievable. Many came back to visit and remained in close contact through their adult life. The world is a better place because of her life.

During her stay here at Paradise Village, Ms. Ratner's beautiful smile and wonderful sense of humor made my day....every day! I will miss her warm hugs and compassionate spirit. My prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time. God bless, Carol White

Ruth was such a strong support and influence to me in my youth. She was an elegant and beautiful lady. I will always hold her memory in my heart.
