I miss you and can scarcely believe you are gone. I know you are at peace and free from pain, but I still do not want to let you go. I treasure the lessons that you have taught me, although I regret I did not fully understand them before it was to late to let you know. I hope I can find some of your strength and will. Ruth Reddy is my Great Aunt, but I truly thought of her as a grandmother. She was there for me from the time that I was a little girl, providing support and strength throughout my life in all of my endeavors. I will greatly miss her kindness and her candor. I love you Aunt Ruth.

Ruth was my beloved aunt, a second mother to me. She is part of my earliest memories and did a lot to shape my values and experiences. I remember spending the night with her when I was very small. She was generous and principled. She had a strong sense of right and wrong and did not hesitate to express it. I will miss her greatly.
