I was so saddened to hear of Ruth's untimely death. Ruth and I go back many years. And our paths crossed often, at art exhibits and Holocaust events.. Unfortunately we had not been in touch recently. Our similar lives are striking. I was also hidden by a Catholic family and both of my parents survived. I also worked as an art therapist wirh the mentally ill. We were both Teaneck residents. Our sincere sympathy to Her beloved Stanley and the whole family.

Let me write a few words of farewell to Ruth Rintel in the name of citizens of her native town: Otwock near Warsaw in Poland, and especially in the name of the Citizens' Committee for Remembrance of the Jews of Otwock and Karczew of which I have the honor to be a chairman.
Ruth was born in September 1939. On the first day of this very month German Nazi troops invaded Poland and the II World War broke out that brought with itself the horror of the Shoah. Young Ruth was condemned to die....

I am probably another of the Rintel family's long-lost relatives, coming from Poland to New York..My father was born in Trembola,a town in Galicia in 1917.His name is Morton Rintel, son of Herman RintelI know there are other branches of the family that came to America,but I have n ot succeeded in reaching anyone successfully yet.
