Not sure what to say?

I was just browsing around looking for old friends and found Ruth Gay. I was looking forward to contacting her and reliving some of our fun times in Baltimore at Johns Hopkins. I'm so sad to learn that she's gone. She was such a special person, a very individual person, an entertaining person, and very obviously a very committed person. We, the gruesome four, Betsy Williams, Shannon Scalley, Ruth Gay and my self took a summer vacation to Quebec, Canada. We drove from Baltimore and...

And so goes one of the truly sweet presences in the world. How she will be missed!

Ruth was an icon at Creative Arts Community 2 week artist workshops in the Columbia River Gorge held at Menucha Conference Center. I remember her fondly as our on site photographer one year and she happened upon a family of raccoons that followed & photographed for all the artists' delight that week. I will miss her creative and positive spirit always.

The world is a lesser place for the loss of Ruth Robbins. I got to know Ruth from her many visits to Art In The Pearl, my Open Studio events and practically every art event in the city of Portland. She was an avid fan of many Portland artists and it was always a pleasure to see how excited she would get about a new direction in my work. She will be sorely missed. Love you Ruth!!
