Condolences and bright blessings to Nita and all of the family. Jon was such a generous soul, and it was a pleasure to know him.

I was shocked to just find out about Jon. He was a special person and one of my best high school friends. I feel so fortunate to have spent time with him for our 50th reunion in October. I will miss his great smile and good cheer, along with the sage real estate advice. My most heart felt condolence to Nita and the rest of the family.

I met John and Nita about three years ago when they became regulars at my jazz performances at the Boardwalk Bistro. They were wonderful fans and friends and took great interest in me and everyone in the band. I loved performing for them. I am so saddened by this news. I found out too late to attend the funeral. Jon was one of my first real friends in San Antonio back in 1975. We were in a long-lasting men's group at the Unitarian Church. We shared many experiences and laughter. I will miss him.
