Not sure what to say?

We are so sorry for your loss. Ruth and Bob were good friends of my Mom and Dad, Paul and Betty Banker from Farmington. We would bring Mom to visit Ruth each summer and they would sit and talk about boating, travelling, birds, and all the good times they spent together as couples. On one such visit Ruth accepted Christ as her Savior and as we left she stated that if she was not here next summer, "I'll see you in heaven!" She was a wonderful lady and we'll miss her but know she is with her...

Aunt Ruth was my Daddy's favorite Aunt. She is and will always be my favorite Great Aunt. She gave me the love of birds which I still have till this day. Aunt Ruth is a wonderful woman and a woman of many hats.
May she have peace and know she is loved. Cheryl (Hart) Hayford

What a wonderful lady! We met Ruth shortly after we moved to town 20 years ago. What a wonderful cheerful disposition. It was always fun to see her out walking in her reflective vest early in the morning, and just amazing to see her riding a motorcycle, which she did at least until age 80!

When I as abou 8 years old,Aunt Ruth taught me how to swim! I'll never forget that.Much more recently, a little over a year ago, my brother, George, when our mother, Paulette Hart, was ailing in a Torrington healthcare facilit, and I got to spend a couple of days with Aunt Ruth, and we both were so thankful we had that chance. What a fun, upbeat, selfless lady. May she rest in peace. Michele (Hart) Mabee
