Ruth Sherman Schaffer

So sorry to learn of Ruth's passing. She was a good friend of our family, a wonderful hostess, a lovely woman.

Ruth will be missed by myself and my family. We loved her like a parent and grandparent. Can't believe she is gone. My condolences to her family. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.

Ruth and Mort were favorites on our 1985 China trip because of their warm personalities, intelligence, and obvious concern for others. We've exchanged holiday cards since then, and just learned that she has joined Mort in resting at peace. With sincere sympathy to her family and friends.

The Lord will sustain you as you reflect on your mother's life that shines brilliantly in your hearts.

Things will never be the same without her presence in Miami. She was such a giving a loving person. To the girls I cannot imagine your sorrow at this time but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love - Linda

Ruth was truly an eshet chayil and a great friend and confidante. So please her years in El Portal and Van E Blanton are included in the obit. She has a special place in the hearts of many!
