Not sure what to say?

Dear Jane.
I have such wonderful memories of your mom and afternoons and weekends spent at your house. She gave so much to her family and her community.

Dear Jane and Family,
Whenever we were with your Mom and Dad they were welcoming, engaging, interesting and genuinely interested
in us. Reading your write up makes us
appreciate Ruth even more....love knowing about the puppet shows.

Many of us in the Oregon State Capitol building knew Ruth as an intelligent, thoughtful and well-known advocate. It was always great seeing and talking to her. She will be missed!

Sorry to hear about Ruth, Pete and Jane. She was a wonderful role model for me as I grew up in the neighborhood and spent many hours babysitting for you kids. My siblings and I were part of the group of puppeteers mentioned in the obituary, and I will never forget the fun we had with your mom around your kitchen table, creating some of the weirdest princesses and bad guys imaginable.
I suspect that the old piano she played on in recent years was the same one on which she taught me...

Jane, and Pete, my sister Annie just sent me this, and I was so sorry to read about your mother. Both my father Keith Skelton, and mother Ellen were such good friends of Ruth, and I know how much work your mother did for people, and the community. The Skelton's thoughts are with you.

Pete and Sherrill,
So sorry for your loss. Her legacy lives on in Oregon's unique long term care system and the Long Term Care Ombudsman program. She was a joy to know and one of a kind! She had such a zest for life and a brilliant mind.
