We are sad to hear that our dear friend Ruth has passed. Ruth was John 's statistics professor at West Chester in 1962, and later one of his favorite colleagues in the Mathematics Department at West Chester University. I knew and admired Ruth through her membership in the Unitarian Congregation of West Chester, of which she was our last surviving founding member. I cannot express in words how much she meant to me and our congregation. Her superior intellect, her decided (and well grounded) opinions, her commitment to the church, will always be remembered. Her legacy will live on through the church. I will miss her always.

Ruth was a colleague of mine in the Mathematics Department at WCU for many years. She was a good dedicated teacher whom students loved. She was indeed a sweet caring person. I regret that I will be unable to attend the service.
