Not sure what to say?

She was a most amazing teacher! She instilled a love for math (that was later squelched by college professors with less than half her abilities, enthusiasm, and gift of clear explanations!). I am glad that she got to live the end of her life with Mr. Steisel (also a wonderful teacher, with a great sense of humor!). As a teacher myself, I now know how difficult a job they had, but they made it look easy! They are are remembered fondly!

Miss Meyerson was a role model. She set an example that math was for girls, too! She was warm, open and available, as a teacher and person. I cherish my memories of her and Arts High School. Thank you, Miss Meyerson (Steisel).

I was most fortunate to have had Miss Myerson as my high school mathematics teacher at Art High during the 1959-63 years. She nurtured my love of mathematics and assisted me in attending Montclair State University. I went on to earn a Ph.D. in mathematics from Vanderbilt University and had a successful career in teaching mathematics and computer science at the college level. She was one of the two teachers I tried to emulate in my teaching. NONE of it would have been possible without her...

I was so sorry to learn of Ruth's passing.
She was my math & tennis instructor and gave so generously of her time.....

My condolences to her family,

I knew Ruth through Bernice Steisel, and over the years visited with her as Bernice's long term friend. Her bright intelligence and
grasp of politics was not only educational to me, but also impressed me with their acuity and timeliness. Ruth was no "out of the loop" older woman; she must have been a gifted and remarkable teacher whom I wished had taught me math. Perhaps with her guidance I would have gained an understanding of its workings.

The last time Bernice and I visited her...
