Not sure what to say?

I had the privilege of knowing Ruth during the 11 years we lived at MCE and occasionally after we moved. She was an outstanding administrator, a gracious friend and a wonderful Mom. My condolences to the Stephens sons and families.

Dearest Ruth,

I just wanted to take this opportunity to THANK YOU so much for your friendship, your leadership, your words of wisdom, your humor, your caring and your sharing over the many years that I was lucky enough to have known you. We met when my daughter (then 4) and I moved into MCE about 21 years ago and I have always had the utmost admiration and respect for you. You were always very wise; and you had a special knack for finding the positive side of any given situation....

I was lucky enough to know Ruth at Miraleste for over 20 years at MCE. She was just the most wonderful woman. I admired her for her strengh, determination and kindness.
She broke my heart the first time, when she retired last year from MCE. She broke my heart for a second time when I learned of her recent passing.
She was such a strong, wonderful, presence at MCE. It will never be the same without her.

Stephens family, please accept our sympathy for the loss of our dear Ruth. MCE would not be the community it is without her hard work and patience. We had many good stories and laughs. We miss you gal! Matt and Sandy Gotthelf San Pedro, Ca.

Gary and Family I Was sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom she was a great lady and lots of fun. I know how hard it is to lose someone I lost my Mom in January. My heart and prayers go out to you family and also to your brothers and their familys.

Dear Ruth, Your many years at Miraleste greatly enriched our community. The heartfelt care you gave everything under your watch, from our beautiful landscaping and trees to each residents unique problems, made you truly unreplaceable. Thank you for your wise counsel and patience. I miss you a lot! Connie Schneider (San Pedro, CA)

Ruth: I miss you terribly, and will never forget you. Almost five short years have passed so fast and held oh so many memories - some wonderful, some challenging. In hindsight I find it funny how you began as my "boss" at MCE, and quickly became my one of my few, truest confidants. Not surprising, as I have learned much from your huge accepting heart behind those knowing eyes. In your encouraging manner you had always told me I should be a writer, but it seems words are failing me now. So,...

Gary and family, we are so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother and grandmother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Ruthy was more than a friend to me - mentor, mother figure. May I offer my condolances to her family. I first met Ruth circa 1980 here at Miraleste Canyon (aka Laurel Tree), I truly miss her. Virgil R. Magday, President Miraleste Canyon Estates Homeowners Association.
