SWARTZ, Ruth I. - Of Grand Blanc, age 89, died April 12, 2009 at Genesys Convalescent Center under hospice care. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jerry Harms officiating. Visitation 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Genesys Hospice. Ruth was employed by Social Security in Flint, before serving as Office Manager for Swartz Ambulance Service. Surviving are son, Alan (Judy) Swartz of Raleigh, North Carolina; 5 grandchildren, Jodie (Dino) Masella of Lake Orion, Robert Swartz of Davison, Brady (Robyn) Swartz of Davison, Derek (Merri) Swartz of Raleigh, North Carolina and Jason Swartz of Portland, Oregon and 12 great-grandchildren.
