Not sure what to say?

prayers are sent to the thompson family now and other times! dr. nash-thompson was my professor, mentor and friend. she was a great teacher who made me work extra hard because of our friendship. she taught me a lot about life and myself. i felt like i knew her family from our walks, shopping or whatever else we did together. i'm honored and glad i had the chance to know her.

I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of a passionate teacher, Dr. Ruth Nash Thompson. I had five incredible classes with her and always came back for more. I usually stayed and talked to her after class for some life advice and school. She was always very compassionate, especially when I needed to bring my son into class! She helped me become the person I am today, a Special Education teacher. My condolences go out to her family. She talked about you very often, especially after...

My deepest sympathies go out to the family of Dr. Nash-Thompson. I was a student of hers at Edinboro, I was also a work-study student in the office of Special Education. She helped mold me into the Special Education teacher I am today. She was also one of those professors that went the extra mile. I remember her making me caramel brownies, she took me out to lunch once, and gave me a bracelet her daughter made. I still have the bracelet and it is very special to me. Again, I'm so sorry...

We were so sad to hear of Dr. Thompson's passing. She was a wonderful teacher-a favorite or ours for sure! We also had the pleasure of living across the street from her for a few years. She would tell me stories about her dog and family often. She will be missed. Thoughts and prayers with her family. Mike and Rachel Converse

Dr. Thompson was one of the best Professors I have had here at Edinboro. Time and time again she would joke with me about how I was one of the few who cared about what we were learning. She was the first SPED prof I had and I loved her from the beginning. She was always making a joke and yet made sure that she taught to the best of her ability using her countless years of personal experience. Even when I did not have her as a Prof, I would always stop and talk to her when I saw her. My only...

I am so sad to hear of Dr. Thompson's passing and send my condolences to her family. She was one of my very favorite professors and she certainly helped me become the teacher I am today. She had a lot of spunk and always had time for me when I needed to talk to her.

My condolences to Ruth's family. Edinboro University has lost a gifted teacher and a generous colleague. Her light lives on in her family and in the many students and friends whose lives she has touched.

Ruth was always willing to help others, and took especial pride in mentoring young women. She had high professional standards, and by insisting students and colleagues meet those standards, she brought out their best. She met challenges with humor, dignity, and style. She always spoke about her family with love and pride. I will miss Ruth very much; we are all diminished by her passing.

My condolences to Ruth's loving family. She was a wonderful woman, professor and mentor to so many aspiring teachers. I always enjoyed seeing her coming down the hall to my office and know that we would share a good laugh. Love and miss you, Ruth.
