We lived across John Muir Road from Ruth and Willard in Idyllwild from 1965 to whenever Ruth moved off "the Hill" (in the 1980's?) We have fond memories of both of them, and we still think of their house across the road as the "Tripp House", even though they haven't lived there for over 30 years!

I had your mother as my kindergarten teacher at Sunset View in 1962. She was the perfect person to start my school years. Very kind and caring. I can imagine that she must have been a wonderful mother. I had forgotten about that pole in the classroom until I read the previous posting. I think because I could never make it to the top. :-) You have my deepest sympathy for the passing of your beloved mother.

My sympathy goes to all Mrs. Tripp's family. I also had her as my kindergarden teacher at Sunset View in 1956-57. She was great! I remember class well and also loved the pole and could climb it in seconds! She will always be remembered with love.

I had Mrs. Tripp for the morning session kindergarten in 1957 and just hearing her name brings back nothing but fond memories of hope and joy for all that life had to offer me at that most impressionable age. With her positive nurturing and guidance, she instilled in me my basic life building values, skills and an appreciation for the wondrous challenges that were to lay ahead. I am very sorry for your loss. I had your mother as my teacher in 1960 at Sunset View Elementary. She was a very good teacher. I now go by the school with my grandkids and show them were I started school. reading about her brought back alot of good memories. thanks WALTER (butch) Roberts
