Read MoreMy mother Jeannette E. Clay Collins was best friends with Ruth in high school. They stayed in touch throughout adulthood, often attending Saline HS alumni banquets together. At my mother's funeral in Dec. 2018, I was so moved to meet Ruth and one of her daughters. They had traveled a long distance to be there, and Ruth's thoughtfulness in doing so still brings tears to my eyes.

I loved Ruthie and Burton...such fine people! Ruth always had a twinkle in her eye! She was a great conversationalist and an animal lover,like myself! She will be greatly missed,but always in our hearts!
