Not sure what to say?

I knew Ruth from my Navy days in what now seems like a lifetime ago. I remember her wit most of all, which was always on display during those long late night talks that only the young can have. She was the glue that held a very special friends group together and I will miss her.

Sending love and comfort to Ruth’s family on this one year anniversary of her passing. Her light and love lives on in each of you.

One of my favorite memories of Ruth was from her early years working at the Assessor's office. She used to tell us about the trials and tribulations of her love life. She told me about a first date who came to pick her up. She showed off her new mailbox to him and then opened it to see if she had any mail. A bird flew out of it and into her date's face. Ruth said he "screamed like a girl." I don't think she went out with him again. I told her that she should have her own comedy show. In a way...

Ruth and I met with the reorganization of the Avondale Civic Club. She was my cheerleader and I was hers. She organized so many happy hours, picnic and was there at a moments notice when a neighbor needed her. We had lost touch these last few years and I hate that I missed her memorial. I would have been there! Just read of her passing on Facebook. Please know she was a special friend to me and I hope that she is in a happier place surrounded by cats and a few of my rum cakes.

I am just hearing of Ruth´s passing and am heartbroken. We didn´t speak often, but each conversation was filled with laughter, support, and warmth. Ruth will be dearly missed by many. My love & sympathies are sent to all of her loved ones.

My condolences to Ruth´s family and friends.
