Send FlowersRuth Pauline Zimmerman, 93, went home to heaven on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017. She was born July 9, 1924, on the home farm east of Woodburn, Ind., to the late Ezra and Barbara (Gernhardt) Steiner. She married Dr. Gordon Zimmerman on June 9, 1946, and he preceded her in death in 2003.

We grew to love Ruth through our son Joshua's dating Erin at Taylor University and then further after their marriage in 2001. She welcomed us into their home and she Gordon both made us feel most welcome as they each gave us a book from their libraries. How fortunate we feel that our son is now a part of this devout family. And to know that Ruth is with the man in Heaven she so loved from an early age. God is so good.
