In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

thank you ruthie for every thing and for always being there and always having a smile for me and my children love you and see you some day will always remember you for the kindness you had for every one

See you Ruth and thank you for your kindness and generosity.

I met Ruthie when I came with a team from Minnesota in July of 2007 to teach bible school in Shungnak. She taught us so many great things about Eskimo ways and I have appreciated her for doing so. Ruthie will be very missed by everyone.

Our Condolences an Prayers goes out to both Families. Jesus Only. God Bless You All.

'A good friend is a glimpse of God, a priceless gift that cannot be bought, sold or forgotten.'
I will never forget Ruthie, she had the kindest heart, and we will all miss her dearly. My prayers are with the family.
In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

Ruthie was one of the first people I met when I moved to Alaska. I told her that I was going to be teaching in Selawik and she told me that they would take good care of me there, she was right. Ruthie was a tireless advocate for the children of Alaska. She will be missed but we all know that she is looking after us from Heaven.
